Colorful Masks

Here I’m among bright angels
Lights flashing, a merry tree
Facing deceiving brightness
Ground, no longer can I see

Living alongside one another
Colored balls are how we portray
Our masks, showing gold or red
I’m not transparent, I sway

Between layered dispositions
Rarely showing this dark shell
Covered with smiles and a joke
Endless tunnels are where I dwell

Where is our rowdy housecat
And how can I beckon it here
To help me crash a jolly tree
Disregard all rules, just be a dear

Help my fists dislodge this world
A rapid tumble towards the ground
Sounds of shattered glass call you
Maybe this time, I can rebound
